We strongly believe that yoga is for everyone and our instructors can utilise their vast knowledge of different techniques, yoga props, anatomy and injuries to create the best class and experience for each of you. 

At ORKU we offer well rounded classes that enables improvements in mindfulness, mobility, strength and confidence. By using a combination of vinyasa and therapeutic yoga, you will be guided through seated and standing postures, working on mobility, balance and core strength. Throughout the class there will also be opportunity to relax your body and mind through breathing and meditative techniques. We welcome people of all abilities to the classes.

There is a maximum of 6 people in each class at our studio in ORKU, so everyone can be closely supervised by the instructor and exercises tailored for individual needs and abilities.

PREGNANCY Yoga with Mary Bowen

Mary’s pregnancy yoga classes offer a supportive space to slow down, connect inward, and cultivate trust in your body. With a background in dance and embodied movement, she encourages exploration of the body’s natural rhythms and patterns, moving away from rigid alignment and towards a more fluid, felt-sense experience that honours each woman’s unique journey.

Her teaching is grounded in the belief, beautifully expressed by Rachel Reed, that “the most important knowledge a woman can gather in preparation for birth is self-knowledge, about what her body and mind need to feel safe enough to trust her instinct and intuition.” This wisdom lies at the heart of Mary’s approach, guiding women to explore what feels safe, supportive, and true for them.

Her practice not only honours the sacred biology of pregnancy but also nurtures a deeper trust in your changing body and your growing baby. With a focus on strengthening self-knowledge and intuition, Mary’s classes empower you to prepare holistically for birth — with confidence, connection, and compassion.

pilates

Pilates is a great whole body workout that looks at improving coordination, flexibility, stretching and core strengthening. In each class you will work on incorporating your breath into every movement and exercise. This specific type of training allows for releasing tension, increasing functional strength and giving you a greater body awareness. 

Pilates with Emer is designed to help you get that mind body connection, combined with improved core strength and flexibility!

There is a maximum of 6 people in each class at our studio in ORKU, so Emer can supervise everyone closely and tailor exercises for individual needs and abilities.
